O' Grey was the first horse that my sister and I fell in love with. She was actually our father's plow horse, but to us she was the the stead that carried us to great adventures in our imaginations. From her, our love for the equine grew full blown into adulthood. My sister, Arlene, enjoyed Appaloosas then Thoroughbreds, while I became a life long lover, rider and artist of the Arabian horse.
The name of my studio is just a play on my own name, Janice. I like the idea of a god that looks to the past and also of the future. Thus: JANUS STUDIO
I enjoy all aspects of the craft of art, and I can't really say which medium I prefer. I have done and still do, oils, acrylics and watercolors, but also sculpture, and painting on deerskin and lambskins.
